Feedback to build 99 and the new Patcher 4.5:

So far i have not yet been able to fully test all aspects that were an issue with the recent releases of astra and the patcher.
But i have noticed, that most things i tried work very well. The Astra-Service appears to be connected all the time, every now and again the "Astra Service is disconnected" popup shows for a split second and gets overridden imediately (by the patch i suppose). So this seems to be one step forward into making astra believe its connected
changing Contact Names and such work well, no Crashes when changing themes anymore either. I still don't know wether that is due to changes in the patch or due to changes in Astra, but anyhow, it does work smooth now.
So, for now i would say the patch is very well done, thank you kay!

Just installed Astra on a different Machine as a "fresh" install rather than an upgrade.
Setting up connections does not work! Its the old issue - they don't get saved and are lost after a restart. The disconnect Astra Service trick does not work either. I was totally unable to make new connections stay!

and as a side-note on that flaming little prick further up the thread:
if you believe the patch contains a virus u better get some information on how patches work and - that is most important: get a decent antivirus-software!
of course a software that will do its job by changing hexadecimal code inside a compiled executable will be recognized as a virus by some antivirus software, because this behaviour is rather typical for viruses and not so common for "normal" software. so this is an easy way of telling the one from the other, but its not realy a reliable way, because "some" software that uses this technique is not at all malware! e.g. patching stuff usually is not malware. for really telling the difference one needs a very good antiviral-solution (like Nod32 for example).

Hat bei mir soweit alles gut funktioniert, bis auf eine Sache: das Verbinden zu Skype funktioniert nicht mehr. Hat irgendjemand eine Idee, was man dagegen tun kann?

Ich hab mal spaßeshalber bei Skype die Zugriffsberechtigungen für Trillian gelöscht, um zu schauen, ob überhaupt was ankommt. Sieht allerdings nicht so aus. Ich kann Skype zwar aus Trillian starten, aber wenn ich auf Verbinden klicke, merkt Skype überhaupt nicht, dass Trillian darauf zugreifen will und bringt auch keine entsprechende Meldung.

Sonst funktioniert aber alles und die Version ist jetzt auch wieder pro nach Anwenden des Cracks.

After installing build 99 I cannot connect to Skype any more. I can start Skype via Trillian but the connection always fails.
I patched it to pro version before of course.
I've erased the access rules in Skype to see if it even notices Trillian is trying to use it but I don't receive any response so it looks like the access somehow fails already.

Any idea what I could do to make it work again?

ganz einfach geh in skype und gewähr trillian den zugriff auf skype
dann passt wieder alles

Da kann man manuell nix einstellen. Es werden nur Programme eingetragen, die auf Skype zugreifen und die melden sich dann. Anschließend kann man die Einstellungen bearbeiten. Aber selbst Programme hinzufügen geht da nicht.

Normalerweise meldet Skype ja automatisch wenn Trillian drauf zugreifen will - macht Build 99 aber offenbar nicht mehr richtig...

Nochmal was anderes zu den Namen der ICQ Kontakte. Ich probiere die ganze Zeit das zu ändern, ich beschreibe mal wie ich vorgehe:

1. Buddies.xml öffnen und Namen ändern (Online&Offline)
2. Speichern als Buddiesnew.xml (+Schreibschutz(
3. In den Trillian Ordner verschieben wie beschrieben
4. Buddies.xml löschen (auch beide drin lassen hat nix gebracht)
5. Trillian starten

Da war ich die ganze Zeit auch. Und wie fügt man da was Neues ein? Ich seh nur ändern und entfernen...

Wie gesagt sollte da automatisch eine Benachrichtigung kommen, dass Trillian drauf zugreifen will - kommt aber nicht. Ich gehe eigentlich nicht davon aus, dass das was bringt, das der Liste wieder hinzuzufügen - zumal es vorm manuellen Löschen drin war und auch net ging.

habe gerade frisch Build 99 mit Crack installiert... aber wie bekomme ich die Verbindungen gespeichert?

habe Build 99 auf Build 97 auf einem anderen system upgedatet und da waren die verbindungen danach noch erhalten aber bei einer frischen installation funktioniertr es nicht...

was kann ich tun ?

Ich hab einfach meine buddies.xml zweimal kopiert und unter buddies.new.xml und buddies-pending.xml gespeichert - dann auf alle Dateien Schreibschutz.

Fürs Hinzufügen schließe ich Trillian, deaktiviere den Schreibschutz der buddies.xml und öffne die sie mit einem Editor.
Anschließend neuen Kontakt einfügen und speichern. Editor schließen, Schreibschutz wiederherstellen und Trillian neu starten.

Schwupp, schon isse drin. Die anderen beiden Dateien kann man offenbar ignorieren. Ich hab da jedenfalls noch keinen Effekt bemerkt, wenn man etwas ändert. Hat man sie allerdings nicht oder ohne Schreibschutz, funzt das Ändern der Kontaktliste nicht richtig.

Warum installierst du nicht auf dem neuen System das alte Build, legst die Kontaktliste an und aktualisierst es dann?

gleiche Problem ... hab bis jetzt immer nur upgedatet und sowurden meine Verbindungen immer übernommen. Bei einer neuen frischen Installation kann ich keine Verbindungen abspeichern.

wo werden die Kontoinformationen abgespeichert... kann man sie vl Manuell eintragen??? oder gibt es irgend eine Lösung?

weil ich 1. kein altes build zur hand habe und 2. es ja so auch funktionieren muss ... es muss ja eine Datei geben indenen die Verbindungen abgespeichert sind ... wie heißt diese Datei ... dann könnte ich die einfach ins neue system reinkopieren und hätte die Verbindungen wieder odeR?

habe nun versucht das komplette Trillian Verzeichnis unter C:\Programme\ in das neue Betriebsystem reinzukopieren sowie auch C:\User\**\Appdata\Roaming\Trillian rüber zu kopieren

nach dem Start habe ich zwar alle einstellungen drüben etc aber die Verbindungen sind trotzdem nicht vorhanden!!!!!

ich hab jetz zwar keine zeit das zu probieren da ich ausnahmsweise auch mal was für meine arbeit tuhe ^^

aber probiert mal bei ner neuinstlalation
zuerst trillian 3.1 basic
dort alles einrichten
un dann auf astra "updaten" also drüber installieren....

ich würde das frühstens ende der woche in der vm testen da ich im mom net die zeit hab mich da mal 15 min hinzusetzen :-/

Ok I have uploaded a trillian.exe and astra.dll from homsers cracked install. It is named trillian.exeandastra.dll_build99.rar . It does save new connections by using the old method. If someone could see what he changed and make a patch that would be wonderful.

EDIT: I just uploaded a portable version of build 99 with the new trillian.exe and astra.dll . Again please let me know if these work or does not work.

Any problems with connection with skype have been fixed for build 100. So far since 99 they have fixed about 45 bugs.

Probleme mit der Verbindung mit Skype wurden für die Build-100. Bisher haben sie seit 99 festen rund 45 Bugs.

yeap the connections are kept but try to delete one... if u want to remove one connection u have to delete all userassets folder and then add them all again.

@whwebsolutions: there is to much cracked code in those files... I hope build 100 will be out today in order to see what's new in the code but I think from now on it will be a patcher for every new release.

I made a short hardcoded patcher for build 99 - it changes the bytes, homer patched Works only with original trillian files!

EDIT: Hey Kay just to let you know, it does allow you to remove connections. You just have to do the whole disconnect from all connections thing including astra (it will still say its connected, but if you click on it again it will now have the reconnect option on it, that means it is disconnected) , and uncheck the auto connect box. Then restart, and disconnect from astra again, then remove connections you would like and restart. And connect to all accounts and recheck that box and there you go .

Please let me know if this works or does not work for you.

Danke! So hat es geklappt. Aber noch was anderes. Bei mir sind die Standard Smilies im Nachrichtenfenster extrem unscharf. Liegt das nur an den Smilies oder ist da allgemein was falsch?

try to remove them all. the last one will stay no matter which it is.
